At JitFit – our mission is to enrich, empower and inspire. We believe that inner health and well-being is just as important as physical health and endurance. We strive to ensure everyone reaches their personal goals and also work with individuals who have a variety of different conditions. We have a personal understanding of the barriers people face and we work with clients to overcome them through a system of planning, support and motivation.

We work on the principle of enhancing inner health by concentrating on improving your heart health, mental well-being and your body’s mechanical system (muscles, ligaments and tendons) which not only makes you feel good on the inside but look good on the outside. Our JitFit personal training sessions and our group classes have been developed to achieve results with the individual in mind, all sessions give clients exercise options to suit their ability but allow plenty of room for progression.

JitFit has vast experience and knowledge of working with clients who have a variety of medical conditions, including diabetes, CHD and hypertension. Many of these clients are now able to manage their conditions more effectively, have reduced their medicine dosage, and in some cases have beaten the condition altogether. There are many proven health benefits of regular exercise and healthy eating, including:

  • Reduction of weight/maintain weight loss
  • Reduce high blood pressure
  • Reduce the risk of developing heart disease
  • Lower bad cholesterol (LDL)
  • Reduce depression and anxiety
  • Reduce the risk of diabetes
  • Effective condition management
  • Reduce the risk of some cancers
  • Increase muscle tone and muscle mass
  • Increase metabolism
  • Improve strength/stamina and endurance

About me

I’m energetic, self-disciplined and passionate (I wear my heart on my sleeve)
– Born to motivate
– Approachable
– Thoughtful
– My mantra is refuse to give up, this is the underlying principle by which I live my life and is a huge part of who I am.

From being an overweight teenager myself I know how hard it is to lose weight, stay motivated and maintain a social life. I pushed myself to my limits and not only became incredibly fit but also grew as a person. I am so inspired by the capability and potential that our bodies possess – it was this that drove my decision to work in the industry, share my knowledge and motivate clients to be the best version of themselves that they can be.

I have been working in the health & fitness industry for over 19 years and have been privileged to have worked in many different fitness establishments and settings. My greatest achievement is helping to change lives on a daily basis. About me

I am a lively, fun loving person with a lot of energy. I am very much a people person and love motivating people to be the best they can be.

I started working in the fitness industry 15 years ago, after falling in love with gym and classes for my own workout. I have worked in various settings; hotel leisure club, leisure centre, private gyms and classes. I have built up a large timetable of classes over the last 10 years. I also work with GP referrals.

After trying and failing in various career paths, I was attending an aerobics class and decided I wanted to be paid for doing what I love. I began to take an interest in how exercise worked, by spending a lot of time with the personal trainers where I trained. I applied for an assistant managers job in a leisure club despite having no qualifications but a massive amount of knowledge. I was invited for interview, and although I didn’t get the job I was later offered a job as an instructor on the strength of my application. I went on to take my various qualifications and have never looked back.

About me

I am an outgoing person who enjoys watching and playing all sports, and implementing different training styles in my own regime.I enjoy gardening and cooking in my spare time – both of which help to fuel my own fitness lifestyle! I always look to help those who need it and try to draw up the best possible plans to help them achieve success

I have been working in the fitness industry for 11 years now and the highlight for me has been being asked to present fitness classes at some of the leading health spas in the country. I have also taken my work abroad to teach in France. I have recently begun to work with the NHS thanks to Jit and I find the work here really rewarding, particularly when I see my clients from the programme in the gym continuing to work hard on achieving their goals, even after we have finished together!

Through having a keen interest in sport from a young age I took on A-level PE, and got into work experience in the gym and haven’t looked back since! I have found watching my clients grow and progress is the most rewarding part of my job!
